Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a type of massage therapy used to reduce musculoskeletal pain and immobility. This treatment focuses on releasing muscular shortness and tightness with a goal of stretching and loosening the fascia (connective tissue) in the troubled region(s) for increased range of motion and lessened pain. Myofascial release is a safe and highly effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. Each myofascial release session is performed directly on skin without oils, creams or machinery which allows the therapist to accurately detect fascial restrictions and apply the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to facilitate release of the fascia.
